Partnering with Federation University allows Connected Libraries (CL) to improve access to information, resources, education services and student support services for the community in the Casey Cardinia Region. We have a pop-up library with within the Federation University Library on the Berwick Campus site. This library will provide free access to reading materials for students, university staff and CL Library members.
The partnership will also see the development of dedicated study spaces within CL Libraries. These study centres will provide a space for school and higher education students to freely access to appropriate study spaces, wireless internet and support.
Since 2016 we have run a local charity donation and fundraise program at Christmas. This campaign has allowed us to foster ongoing local partnerships with 7 key charities:
1. Community Information & Support Cranbourne Inc.
2. Transit Outreach Service
3. Casey North Community Information and Support Service
4. Emerald Lions Club
5. The Andrews Centre
6. Hampton Park Primary School
7. The Salvation Army
The program encourages members to have their fines wiped if they donate non-perishable food, toys or toiletries. CL then pass all donations onto the libraries selected local charity.
Please note that all libraries will be closed on Tuesday 5 November for the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday.
