Located within Bunjil Place — the City of Casey’s premier arts and entertainment precinct — Bunjil Place Library is a stunning three-level library that sets a new benchmark for public libraries in Australia.
The contemporary, light-filled space embraces leading-edge design principles and celebrates the library as a place for people, ideas and books. Alongside the library, Bunjil Place is home to a gallery presenting free exhibitions throughout the year, a café offering a variety of food options, as well as a state-of-the-art theatre hosting performances, events and live entertainment.
The library first opened in Narre Warren in Malcolm Court on 7 March 1978. It later moved to a larger facility at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, adjacent to the Fountain Gate Hotel, on 21 November 1992, before opening in its current home at Bunjil Place on Saturday 28 October 2017.
Bunjil Place Library is proud to have launched Access Keys on the Access Ability Australia web site.
Access Keys provide visitors with increased confidence to attend new experiences by providing customised accessibility guides that empower individuals with improved information, promoting awareness and inclusiveness whilst supporting equality.
To assist our patrons with sensory needs, every Friday from 9-10am is Quiet Hour in all of our libraries.
