Children's University Program

Connected Libraries are excited to partner with Swinburne University in their Children’s University program.

This program promotes learning opportunities outside the classroom for children aged between 7-14 years with the aim to engage children and young people in learning and to help them develop confidence and aspirations.

As a Learning Destination, Connected Libraries offers a range of fun, high-quality educational experiences.

All Children’s University Swinburne members are issued a Passport in which students collect stamps from different Learning Destinations they have visited and record their learning or volunteering activities.

Children aged 7-14 who are part of the Children’s University program can present their passport to Connected Libraries staff after attending any afterschool program or school holiday event and get their passport stamped.

Programs eligible for a stamp are any programs for 7-14 year olds.

Once they have fulfilled a minimum of 30 hours of learning, they will be invited to a graduation ceremony at Swinburne University in Hawthorn, just like other University students!

If you are a parent, carer or teacher and are interested in the program, you can find more information on their website or contact Swinburne at ChildrensUniversity@swinburne.edu.au.
