Casey and Cardinia Communities will continue to enjoy transformative library services

 What’s Changing?

Throughout 2022 both the City of Casey and Cardinia Shire Councils participated in a joint Expression of Interest (EOI) process and an extensive assessment of public library service providers available in the market.

With the support of the Connected Libraries Board the following decisions have been made:

The City of Casey will continue to partner with Connected Libraries as their preferred library service provider for the Casey community.

Cardinia Shire Council will partner with Myli – My Community Library for the delivery of library services to the Cardinia community (This includes Emerald Library, Pakenham Library and the Cardinia Mobile Library Service).

The good news is both Library Services are part of Libraries Victoria so whether you remain a Casey Cardinia Library Member or become a Myli Member, you will continue to have access to the same great resources and services and you can use your Membership Card at both services.

No longer use a Cardinia Library and wish to nominate a Casey Library as your preferred service?

If you no longer use Emerald, Pakenham or the Cardinia Mobile Library click here and nominate the Casey Library you use most frequently and we will update our records.

Print Balances, what happens?

Members who have a print balance on their Casey Cardinia Library (CCL) Library Card, can request to have the balance transferred to use at Myli here.

Alternatively, print balances can remain with CCL Please request your transfer by Wednesday 30 November, any balance transfers will be available at Myli from December 1 2022.

What’s next?

If there are any changes to your membership or the way you use our service, we will be in touch via email or letter.

There are still a few things related to the transition that we are working on. If any member is affected by a change between now and December 1, 2022 we will update them closer to the time to let them know what their options are.
