LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com)

LinkedIn Learning is a premier online learning resource offering more than 7,000 online courses (over 200,000 tutorials) in business, technology, creative skills development, personal development and more.  These courses will help you develop your skills, up-skill or even help you to start or develop your business.  LinkedIn Learning was formerly Lynda.com.

You can access LinkedIn Learning with your library card.

Not a library member? Pop in to your local library and we will set you up, or you can Join Online.

Once you have completed the registration on the website, continue your training through your browser.

As with Lynda.com, you must activate a LinkedIn Learning account to access the course content. This is not a personal LinkedIn profile, nor do you need a personal LinkedIn profile to use LinkedIn Learning.

To activate your LinkedIn Learning account:

Go to LinkedIn Learning using this library link

Click Get Started

Enter your library membership (either printed on your card, or if online, starting with WEB) and password

Follow the instructions for the first time you login – from then on, go straight to LinkedInLearning content

NOTE: You cannot link a library LinkedIn Learning account to your LinkedIn profile.

LinkedIn Learning has a mobile app, which you can use to access the library’s subscription, for free.  To access:

    • Download the Linked In Learning App from App or Play Stores (Android and Apple devices)
    • Tap Sign In
    • Under the Email box, Tap sign in with your library card
    • In Enter your library ID, replace only the text “libraryID” with ccl
    • Tap Continue
    • Enter your Connected Libraries library card number and password (under PIN) and tap Continue.


Once successfully logged in, you can access the courses of Linked in Learning.

By selecting to utilise free access to LinkedIn Learning you will be taken to a LinkedIn learning sign in page where you will be asked to voluntarily submitting your personal data to a third party organisation.
