This year National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) takes place on Wednesday 22 May 2024 at 12pm.
Each year a picture book which is written and illustrated by an Australian is read simultaneously across libraries, schools, childcare centers, homes and more.
This years book is Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. The story follows the journey of a bowerbird on a quest for all things blue, whilst feeling something is missing in his life, the story encourages reflection on environmental pollution and its challenges.
We’ll also be holding some fantastic events at some of our libraries, check out details below!
Everyone can join NSS, it doesn’t matter whether you are at home, at school, at a public library or even a university library, get reading and join in this year’s NSS!
