The Big Summer Read is back for another year! Join the fun, we want Casey kids to keep reading over Summer.

How it works
The Big Summer Read Challenge runs from Friday 1 December 2023 to Wednesday 31 January 2024.

The aim of the challenge is for children to read and log as many books as they can over Summer.

Children will need to read and log a minimum of 10 books between these dates to be eligible for the Connected Libraries and Statewide prize draws!

Children who record their reading online through the Beanstack App will be eligible for the Statewide prize draws.

Connected Libraries Prize Draw
Grand Prize:
1x Nintendo Switch (for the child who reads and logs the most books in Casey)
Minor Prizes:
1x $50 Robinsons Book Voucher for each library (for the children who read and log the most books at each of the five Connected Libraries)

How to enter the Connected Libraries Prize Draw
Paper entry forms can be collected and returned at your local CL Library for entry in the local prize draw.

Statewide Prize Draw
0-4 years : Board books
5-8 years: Picture books
8-12 years: Junior fiction/graphic novels
Ages 12-18 years: YA fiction/graphic novels

How to enter the State Wide Prize Draw
Children who log and read using the Beanstack App will automatically go into the State Wide Prize Draw.

Launch Party
Come Celebrate the end of the Big Summer Read with a special celebration on Saturday 10 February 2024 at Bunjil Place Library. This is where the prize winners will be announced!
