Connected Libraries is seeking a Doveton and CALD Team Leader.

  • Part-time 7 hours per week
  • Tuesday 10am – 6pm

Connected Libraries (CCL) is a large Not for Profit public library service in South East Victoria providing services to community in the City of Casey. We are funded by Casey Council and the State Government. We support a rapidly growing and diverse community of more than 392,000 people.

Our libraries are located at Cranbourne, Doveton, Endeavour Hills, Hampton Park, and Bunjil Place Narre Warren. 

We are seeking a part-time Doveton and CALD Team Leader (Band 5, 7 hours per week, July 2023 to June 2024) to jobshare the management of our Doveton Library whilst coordinating our programs and services for the CALD community.

We have two exciting opportunities to join our digital literacy team.  Put your strong information and technology skills to the test! These positions offer a broad scope of duties including leadership, promotion and delivery of digital literacy programs for our community and contribute to the development and management of the organisation’s intranet. Although this role specialises in digital literacy, you will also be required to provide on desk customer experience in our libraries and support the branch manager.

Key selection criteria

  • • Library qualifications conferring eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library & Information Association
    OR
    • Lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills and experience commensurate with the requirements of the work required
    • High level customer service skills
    • Proven supervisory and management skills within busy team environments
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all ages, across all levels of the community
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes
    • Knowledge of collection management processes
    • Excellent information technology and problem-solving skills with a range of information technology and software tools
    • Ability to manage capacity of branch to deliver an engaging range of programs and services to meet community expectations
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff within a team environment
    • Experience and understanding of programs and services for CALD community
    • Time management, organisational and planning ability
    • Driver’s licence essential
    • Working with Children Check
