Victorian Local Government Elections will be held this October via postal vote. 

Leading into the election, all Councils (and associated organisations like Connected Libraries) will enter ‘’Caretaker’’ from Tuesday 17 September to Saturday 26 October.  

Caretaker helps ensure councils actions don’t interfere with the election process and that elections are held in an ethical, fair and equitable way.   

Caretaker means there will be reduced communication from Council and Connected Libraries to the community. 

However, throughout this period, all library services will operate as normal. 

Connected Libraries operate from Council owned facilities, so throughout Caretaker period there will be a reduction of posts on all Library owned social media channels, and comments will be turned off.
